WINDOWS FOR LISTED BUILDINGSMAKING EXACT REPLICA WINDOWS FOR YOUR LISTED BUILDING.
Merrin Joinery design and manufacture wooden windows for listed buildings using traditional methods. All of our windows are individually made, so we are able to pay great attention to the architectural details.
If your property is listed you will require consent to replace your windows, even if the replacement windows are exactly the same design, material and finish. Merrin Joinery can supply you with a detailed specification and drawings for the Conservation Officer at your local council if required.
Windows are an important feature in historic properties, because they significantly contribute to the character of buildings. To ensure that the new or replacement timber windows are as similar to the original designs as possible, Merrin Joinery can exactly replicate an original moulding. We usually use traditional putty pointing (as in the image above) to secure the glazing. Most windows are supplied spray finished to the exact colour specified.
