Wood is a good choice of material. It is renewable, recyclable, a good thermal insulator and biodegradable. If looked after properly, timber joinery can last for generations.

We source timber and panel-products from reputable merchants, who can verify sustainable-accreditation standards including FSC certification. Please ask if you would like more detailed information about the environmental merits of selecting different types of timber. Factors to consider include the extent to which the timber source is managed, the demand for a particular species, the level of pollution from transporting timber and the durability of finished goods.
